Welcome! I'm Sandra Sofia Santos Medeira, a dedicated Portuguese and English as a Foreign Language tutor, translator, and language enthusiast with a passion for intercultural communication. With over two decades of experience in language teaching and translation, I specialize in helping students develop fluency, confidence, and cultural awareness in Portuguese and English.

About Me

My journey with languages began in 2001, when I first started tutoring Portuguese as a Foreign Language. Since then, I have worked extensively as a translator and language instructor, honing my skills in adapting lessons to diverse learning needs. With a Master’s degree in Translation from the University of Bristol and fluency in four languages, I bring a unique perspective to language education—one that blends linguistic expertise with a deep cultural understanding.

Currently, I am pursuing a TESOL certification, further refining my teaching methodologies to offer engaging, communicative, and interactive lessons for learners of all levels. My approach is centered on practical language use, tailored lesson plans, and fostering a supportive learning environment where students feel confident expressing themselves in a new language.
